Details

This course takes place two nights per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, for 8 weeks. No prior design knowledge or experience is required, but basic computer skills (typing, using a web browser, etc.) are suggested. The Intro to Design course is created to focus on helping professionals in the marketing and events workplace. In addition to in-class hours, our instructor is available for Q&A throughout the week via Slack.

  10. Final Project


Course Outcomes

  • Learn basic design principles to implement into marketing materials.
  • Setup design accounts and templates for use beyond this course.
  • Create a complete marketing campaign suite of materials for digital and print.


FAQs

Yes. Each student will need to provide his/her own laptop for the course. Microsoft Windows-based PC's or Apple macOS computers will work. We recommend a laptop made within the past 3-4 years. Computers should be free from viruses/malware. We have a very limited number of rental laptops available for $25/day, which can be reserved online.

No prior design experience is required, but students should be comfortable typing, navigating a file / folder structure, and using a web browser.

This course is capped at 16 students.

The Intro To Design is designed for adult learners.
